Lead Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description :

Position responsible for preparation and/or review of all foreign data collected and included in LMC’s federal income tax return, quarterly financial reports, tax payments, long range plan and tax provision.

Lead Tax Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

-Review of International tax accounting submissions

-Review ASC-740 data for certain branches and CFCs

-Review calculations related to E&P and dividends from foreign subsidiaries

-Review of International tax forms (1118, 5471, 8865, 8858 and 926) required for e-filing that are included in LMC’s federal return

-Review Research and Development, Goodwill/Intangibles and Interest Allocations for Foreign Tax Credit.

-Provide support for federal and/or international audit requests, research of tax issues, and in defending tax positions that are challenged by tax authorities.

-Assist Tax Manager in any special tax projects such as information technology and certain business acquisitions and dispositions

-Assessment of Unrecognized Tax Positions

-Review SARBOX documentation and testing

-Provide guidance on maintenance of OWM workflow and other technology initiatives

-Other duties as assigned/necessary.

This position will require continuous oversight of significant projects within the department throughout the year and may require coordination with both internal and external resources.

Basic Qualifications

-Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Tax Law

-Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel & Word)

-Demonstrated ability to think critically

-Effective organization skills

-Effective execution/implementation skills

-Strong analytical skills

-Previous exposure to international taxes

-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Application

-Familiarity with OneSource Workflow manager
