Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Google’s Mobile Device marketing team oversees everything from mature industry products (think smartphones) to emerging categories (think things the world has never seen before, like Google Glass). Within this team is the Integrated Marketing team whose mission it is to create incredibly creative and engaging communications content that earns consumers’ attention and then converts them to happy users. You will be part of a small and nimble group responsible for driving large-scale, multi-channel, global creative campaigns that include television, digital, video, out-of-home and more. Our day-to-day is spent collaborating with cross functional team members like retail, internal and external agency partners, regional teams, all to ensure a clear communication narrative.

Responsibilities

Contribute to large, multi-channel global creative campaigns that define and build the Mobile Hardware portfolio of brands and be able to distill consumer insights into creative actions.

Manage relationships and work streams across key agency partners spanning both creative and media and internal and external.

Ability to translate product features into consumer benefits.

Define creative requirements, and manage the creative development process across a number of different execution formats from brief development through creative conception to launch.

Collaborate with Google regional teams and third-party partners to ensure consistency and product accuracy; work with non-marketing teams like PR, product, legal, business development to ensure alignment of creative requirements with the Mobile Hardware product and business roadmap.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in advertising or brand marketing, and leading advertising agencies and managing campaigns.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience marketing lifestyle brands where the proof is often in the purpose in addition to the product; understanding of brand and creative development, as well as experience managing agency relationships.

Ability to work cross-functionally and across geography

Project management skills, ability to work effectively in teams of varying sizes, and during ambiguous creative processes.

Demonstrated creative instincts.

Passion for both brand building and the intersection of technology and life

Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns.
