The Lead Manager, Channel Marketing is responsible for development and creative execution of the marketing plan for identified target audience within USIS, playing a key role in driving channel growth. In this capacity, the incumbent is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with marketing counterparts within these client organizations and serving as an advocate for those organizations within TRP. This individual works closely with Marketing Segment Lead (MSL) to develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for the channel. Consults with clients on TRP marketing offerings and capabilities and leverages their knowledge of products and solutions offered.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Planning and Relationship Management

Develops and maintains relationships with key contacts at a wide range of USIS clients and serves as subject matter expert for TRP’s marketing and value-add services. Meets regularly with select clients, and oversees the design and implementation of strategic client-specific marketing plans that have specific, measurable goals aligned with USIS’ business objectives. Plan includes segmentation, advertising, PR, event and integrated sales activities. Formulates test-and-learn initiatives and pilot programs for various marketing activities, including media mix allocations. Strategies will be informed by a deep understanding of the needs and opportunities of the target audience, based on insights gleaned from relationships built with key contacts, primary research, input from the Segment Insights Manager and external industry research. This person serves as the voice of the client within TRP by disseminating client insights and information. Advocates for support and resources that will positively influence NNF and increase client loyalty. Responsible for establishing clear links between key performance indicators and strategic goals and objectives and reporting results to USIS Management.

Creative Execution

Partners with the Integrated Marketing and Client Experience Groups to create and manage budgets for strategic communication and marketing programs for channel. These initiatives may include, but not be limited to investment product campaigns, institutional quality sales ideas, investment strategy related pieces, and value-add campaigns. Provides direction to and manages shared service or vendor resources for assistance with project execution. Consistently utilizes understanding knowledge of customers' needs to guide and inform decision-making processes.

Effectiveness of Marketing Programs

Works with Data & Analytics team to monitor, analyze and report marketing program performance against KPIs and is accountable for the effectiveness of the marketing program. The Lead Manager, Channel Marketing must exercise judgment in determining which of the marketing mix variables to over- and underweight at various times throughout the year to achieve the desired effect

Sales Liaison/Internal Messaging

Liaises with the sales organization to leverage appropriate resources to provide training and support for integrated efforts. Provides overall strategic direction and messaging guidance to internal staff, charged with executing tactical deliverables and other staff responsible for developing tactical marketing programs on behalf of targeted clients. Shares client insights with CMI, Client Experience and Integrated Marketing group to inform development decisions for marketing programs and their tactical execution.

College degree and 4 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 6 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years related work experience

Series 7 and Series 63 (or ability to obtain within the first six months of employment)
