****Overseas Assignment - Diego Garcia****

We have an immediate need for a Lead Scheduler (MS Project) to work for approximately 3 months on-site at the US Navy base in Diego Garcia, an atoll in the Indian Ocean.

Start date:

Medical screening – November 15-16. Must be able to pass a medical screening with a BMI target of 35.

Pre-deployment on-line training (brutal) – November 17-27

Pre-deployment authorization – November 27-29

Deploy – November 30-Dec. 2 (travel days)

Start work – December 3

Work Schedule – 6 days/week with maximum of 10 hours /day

Duration of assignment – November 15, 2017 – February 13, 2018 (maximum period; maybe less), no travel home during holidays

Work Description:

We are forming a rapid response team comprised of a Project Manager/Planner, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Scheduler, and Estimator to transition minor construction and equipment maintenance refurbishment projects (Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) in progress from the incumbent to KBR. We will assess, plan, schedule, estimate the effort to takeover that work. We will be given a dozen of more on new RFPs for new work to engineer, plan, schedule, estimate and submit proposals to the Navy. The team will be dissolved late in the transition period as we hire the incumbent’s IDIQ team on a permanent basis.

Job Description/Qualifications - Lead Scheduler:

Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling and use of Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.

Coordinates with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply.

Provides priorities for projects to guarantee completion.

Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis.

Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support within project controls. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks.

Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.

May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of project controls to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy.

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 10 years of experience.

Deployment arrangements

KBR provides all travel authorization paperwork

TSR pays for travel mobilization airfare from Point of Origin to Singapore, Singapore and demobilization airfare from Singapore, Singapore mto point of origin

KBR pays for military airfare between Singapore, Singapore and Diego Garcia

Living arrangements provided by KBR:

Food (3 meals/day)

Laundry

On-island transportation
