This position is responsible for profitable sales growth, market penetration and key customer development in assigned international markets. The core market is Asia with a primary focus on Japan. The position represents all MFI egg products (dried, pre-cooked, hard-cooked, frozen and liquid) to food manufacturers, foodservice and retail markets.


Grow sales profitably through key strategic customer development and new account acquisition.

Exceed annual volume and revenue plans.

Serve as direct contact and key account manager for strategic customers.

Manage and develop a sustainable distribution/broker network.

Develop and execute sales plans, strategies by region and key account in conjunction with Marketing and Sales Leadership.

Provide pricing recommendations to Management for approval and obtain new customer agreements.

Manage contract balances and sales performance.

Provide accurate demand plan forecasts by customer and product.

Prepare monthly reports on sales results and sales activity.

Maintain and grow trade relationships, as assigned.

Assist in the development and launch of new products and/or initiatives.

Establish good working relations with all functional areas in the company.

Monitor market dynamics as well as competitive products and pricing.

Manage key projects for customers, or as assigned.

Participate in trade shows, as appropriate.

Travel up to 50% of the time.

Manage within established travel and trade budget.


B.S. or BA degree required

Strong selling, marketing, collaboration and analytical skills.

Seven-plus years’ sales experience in international markets within food ingredients or food manufacturing.

Country, market, channel and egg product expertise.


Fluency in Japanese & English languages required; additional Far East and Asian languages preferred.

Solid understanding of Asian culture and customs.

Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving/decision-making skills.

Project management acumen.

Food science background and/or product development experience preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
