Reporting to the Head of Sales, Americas this position is responsible for achieving or exceeding the sales target for our products, in a specified territory through excellent selling and account development/management skills. The Sr. Account Manager is the business development expert and must be able to develop and execute the Key Account Program. It requires a unique skill set to develop and maintain executive level relationships at major accounts. The Sr. Account Managers are responsible for developing the overall strategic plan, driving the sales process within the territory, and demonstrating leadership to the TAC team as well as the less experienced field sales people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.

Achieve or exceed the sales budget for all relevant AutoChem products in the specified market segments.

Coordination of all sales and related activities within defined accounts in the territory to include: lead generation and follow-up, technical seminars, application feasibility tests and coordinating customer support.

Coordinate support requirements for given territory with Technical Applications Consultants and execute/participate in key demonstrations, sales calls and seminars.

Identify sales opportunities for AC products within the territory in the specified target market segments.

Identify prospects in non-focus areas (e.g. geographic) and utilize eBusiness sales channel to drive forward these opportunities.

Key Account Development program for defined key accounts. Comfortable with senior-level contacts at large Pharma/Biotech/Chemical.

Participate in Global key Account Management program.

Accurate and detailed forecast for AC Products on a continual basis for purposes of reporting using CRM.

Mentor and help in the development of Account Managers as specified by the Sales Manager

Support the NA Sales Manager as needed on projects.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in life Sciences, Chemistry preferred. Advanced degree preferred

Five plus (5 ) years capital equipment sales experience in laboratory equipment/instrumentation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical/process development market essential.

Prior experience in a technical lab or field support role is a plus.

Consultative selling, self-confident and a strong entrepreneurial spirit required.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues.

Strong team and organizational skills.

MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Current employee:

Three (3) years as Account Manager exceeding budget.

Proficient sales executive across all products lines including software.
