Miami office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a junior to mid-level private funds associate attorney preferably with 2-6 years of experience in a large law firm setting. The candidate should have some experience with fund formation and investment adviser work and a genuine interest in practicing as a private funds lawyer. At least a basic understanding of entity types from a tax perspective is helpful, as is an understanding of the fundamental elements of the Federal securities laws (i.e., the '33 Act, the '34 Act, the Investment Company Act, and the Investment Advisers Act) as they relate to the business of private fund managers. Should understand the basics of fund economics and be able to coherently draft related language in fund agreements (or be motivated to learn to do so). Must either be admitted to the Florida Bar or admitted to the Bar of another state and eligible for admission to the Florida Bar. Should have a strong academic history and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
