We provide solutions focused on helping our customers integrate systems and data to streamline operations, reduce cost, mitigate risk and understand enterprise-wide exposure.FIS Institutional and Wholesale is seeking a software test/QA analyst with strong skills to join our BancWare development team working on a variety of financial engineering projects for asset/liability management and interest rate risk product offerings. He or she will thrive in a highly collaborative environment using agile development processes.Responsibilities:
Participate as a team member in the agile (Scrum) process throughout the SDLC
Work closely with business analysts and other team members to develop and document suitable processes and strategies for testing and test automation of complex business scenarios
Participate in project planning and estimation, working with other team members to analyze requirements and provide recommendations for testing
Develop test plans and procedures based on business requirements and design documents to ensure the application's quality and relevance for our clients
Develop and automate functional, performance and regression tests using industry best practices and tools
Perform automated, manual and regression testing to verify the application and associated financial models have been correctly implemented to meet requirements
Communicate progress, identify any risks related to quality and delivery, and track software issues throughout the life-cycle of the development process
Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and provide assistance within areas of expertise
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer/Information Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or Finance with at least 1 year work experience, or Master's degree with related work experience
Strong knowledge of software QA/testing methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience with QA/testing for the Microsoft technology stack
Experience with relational databases to manage, store and analyze large data sets
Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to effectively express ideas, engage in complex discussions and collaborate with a wide range of colleagues
Delivery-oriented team player who takes responsibility for the team's success and strives to continually learn and improve
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the banking or financial services industries with knowledge of financial instruments
Experience with risk management, interest rate modelling and/or predictive analytics applications
Experience implementing/installing and/or supporting enterprise level software for external clients
Experience creating and running automated tests using commercial or open source tools (e.g., Selenium, Test Complete, SoapUI, LoadRunner)
Experience with MS SQL Server, SSAS
Experience with Excel for manipulating and analyzing data cubes
