IoT Marketing Manager

Microchip is seeking a Marketing manager to lead the Internet of Things (Cloud Connectivity) marketing segment. The marketing manager will provide marketing support for the industry segment, analyze market trends, drive business opportunities, and understand the dynamics of the competitive participants in the market segment.

Become the central expert within the company to evolve and execute on the IoT corporate strategy and develop business proposals .

Analyze market activity, competitive dynamics, identify growth opportunities and feed information back into the business units and field sales teams

Develop an effective eco-system around the Microchip IoT product offerings

Identify and drive engagement with new customers and in new applications.

Develop effective market communications programs and sales support collateral to support regional field sales initiatives

Work with field sales management to develop market penetration strategies 

Job Requirements

BS in Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years previous technical marketing experience required.  Strong preference for semiconductor background.  Candidate must have excellent skills and experience in developing business plans, ability to analyze target markets segments / emerging applications and execute strategies to drive revenue growth. Must clearly understand the sales process and be able to effectively communicate and influence divisional marketing, application, and design resources.

Engage with key customers and bring credibility to the sales process. Deep knowledge of sales and sales process.

These minerals originate from various continents, but armed groups engaged in, or interfering with mining operations within the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the adjoining countries (the Dodd-Frank “Covered Countries”) are subjecting people to human rights violations and using proceeds from the sale of these Conflict Minerals to finance and sustain regional conflicts. Microchip supports responsible mineral sourcing. We recognize the need to develop programs that allow for improved transparency in the 3TG supply chains. Our goal is to provide reasonable assurance that all integrated circuits manufactured by Microchip are DRC conflict free. In calendar year 2015, we made substantial progress toward that goal. We successfully removed smelters from our integrated circuits supply chain that were uncooperative with the CFSI Conflict Free Smelter Program. As of December 22, 2015, all smelters and refiners remaining in Microchip’s integrated circuits supply chain are listed on: the CFSI’s “compliant smelter” list, the CFSI’s “active smelter” list, or the TI-CMC’s “active smelter” list. Our independent due diligence research did not identify conflict minerals sourcing risk from the current “active smelters”. Should mineral sourcing risks be identified, they will be presented to our executive management for discussion and, as appropriate, action.
