distribution of life insurance and annuity solutions to the RIA marketplace is

an important part of the growth strategy for TIAA-CREF Life Insurance Company

(TIAA Life). This Internal Insurance Consultant position will be responsible

for developing new relationships and maintaining existing relationships with

RIA Firms in their region with the goal of increasing the use of TIAA Life

solutions to solve their client’s needs. 

 

This person

will work as part of a small team and will be the face of TIAA Life Insurance

Company to the Firms and their clients. They will serve as the point of contact

for a variety of tasks. This individual needs to be extremely responsive,

technically competent, have a great attitude, and be able to build productive

long-term business relationships.

 

The Internal

Insurance Consultant is responsible for sales and support of our life insurance

and annuity solutions in their assigned regions.  They partner with RIA Insurance Directors at

a regional level and share similar goals and scorecard metrics.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:  Providing sales

support via handling incoming calls and questions from existing and

new RIA firms interested in TIAA Life solutions.  This requires an

expert level of knowledge of the products, process, positioning and

problem resolution. Engaging in proactive

wholesaling activities (Outbound calls, Webinars, Email updates and

Regional meetings). Manage existing RIA relationships and assists

in the development of new RIA relationships and distribution opportunities

for all TIAA life Insurance Company solutions within an assigned regionWorking with the advisory firm, acts as agent

of record on life insurance or annuity contracts.  Requires the Internal Insurance Consultant

to assist with case design, competitive analysis,

run illustrations, complete application paperwork, manage the opportunity

in Salesforce and provides ongoing status updates to advisory firms and

their clients throughout the entire process. Responsible for

growing/increasing the usage of TIAA Life insurance and annuity solutions

through a distinctive experience that leverages the unique value

proposition of the TIAA Life.Manages relationships,

provides coaching and education with the goal of developing first call

status for all insurance needs.Ability to quickly build relationships with

all levels of the firms from their owners, their advisors or support

staff. Responsible for

maintaining pipeline, activities through CRM in partnership with the RIA

Insurance Director. Constantly think about how to identity new

opportunities for increasing salesProven ability to meet and exceed goals,

deadlines and performance expectationsIdentifies productivity increases, best practices and shares with team

to scale successesDevelops and maintains a good understanding of TIAA’s competitors within

the territory and addresses response strategiesParticipate on

Strategy Calls with RIA firms or other distribution partners. The Internal Insurance

consultant periodically travels in their territory to participate and

present in group meetings and training sessions. Facilitate new RIA

firm training. This includes driving product awareness and adoption and

how to work on our platform once contracts are issued.Knowledgeable

about our value proposition for RIA and able to provide post issue support of

web access, downloads, duplicate statements, cost basis, fee deduction, etc.  ','!*!QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum

Qualifications 

 

Bachelor’s degree is required and additional industry

designations are preferred (CLU, CHFC,CFP)Series 6 or7 and 63 are required.  Must comply with all

regulatory requirements and remain in good standingState Insurance Licensing requiredMinimum

of 5 to 10 years of Insurance and Annuity experienceMinimum

5 years of experience working with high-net-worth clientsExperience

working with illustrations and knowledge of advanced marketing concepts
