Johnson Controls invites you to apply for a position in our

summer internship program with the Internal Audit department, based at JCI

Global Corporate Headquarters in Glendale, WI. Our internship program is

designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and

challenging objectives that are consistent with your career goals and current

level of education.


This role will be part of our Corporate Internal Audit team.

As part of your internship, you will gain experience in supporting internal

audit projects of various types, including, pre & post system

implementation reviews, cyber security, Sarbanes Oxley attestation, special

projects, as well as internal / departmental continuous improvement initiatives.


How you will do


Assist in project planning

activities, including gathering, reviewing and interpreting data, interviewing

key stakeholders to determine scope of audit proceduresAssist in performing audit

testing procedures, including attribute-based controls, through various means –

inspection, observation, and re-performanceAssist in documentation of

testing results, and drafting of final report / deliverablesAssist in performing direct

assistance to the annual external auditSupport continuous improvement

teams in creating automated tools, templates and other means of increasing

efficiency and productivityPerform other duties/projects

as assigned


Duration: Internship term will be 10-12 weeks during summer,

2018. May include travelling locally to other Milwaukee-area JCI sites

depending on needs of the specific projects supported. Candidates who perform successfully during the summer may have the option to continue working part-time through the semester.

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled as

a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or universityCurrently pursuing an

undergraduate (junior standing) or Master’s degree, in Management Information

Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or

related disciplineMaintenance of a

cumulative GPA of 3.0 or aboveAbility to work

effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment,

dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to

new challenges and ideasStrong technical

proficiency in MS Excel, Access and SharePointU.S. Citizen or legal

right to work in the U.S.

 Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication skills (verbal and

written) preferredDemonstrated problem solving skills requiredCandidates attending school in the greater Milwaukee area are preferred as we would like the opportunity to have the selected candidate continue part-time during the semester upon successful performance during the summer duration
