We are currently seeking a junior level professional as an intern to join our growing Project Development Services team in our Downtown Los Angeles office. The intern position provides a hands-on learning experience directly related to responsibilities that transfer to skills needed in a full-time construction management related position. Our program is designed to mentor and develop a talented individual with strong leadership potential. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter possessing strong sales skills, business acumen and a passion for real estate and construction. The intern will gain valuable experiences by supporting current brokers in attempts to retain and win business. What will you be responsible for? • Assist other project team members in planning, scheduling and controlling the project to meet required goals and expectations • Assist in preparing project reports • Administer project tracking logs – RFI submittals, procurement, FF&E, critical issues, and change orders Distributing and filing all project documents • Preparing requisitions for project expenditures • Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethical and business practice What are we looking for in you?• Desire to learn more about becoming a successful construction manager • Entering junior year, senior year or Master’s program with an emphasis in Construction Management, Real Estate Development or Business Administrator preferred • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and MS Projects • Excellent oral (in person and on the phone) and written communication skills (spelling and grammar), • Organized, able to set priorities and meet deadlines, able to multi-task, and carefully proofs own work • Excellent interpersonal skills • Proactively anticipate upcoming tasks and the needs of the team by prioritizing, communicating and balancing the workflow • Effective time manager – proven ability to consistently manage multiple projects with accuracy and zero missed deadlines • High energy; fast paced and driven to succeed with a keen ability to work efficiently autonomously or as a member of a team • Establishes and maintains records management systems • Team player – works enthusiastically in a team atmosphere, promoting collaboration and idea sharing in words and by actions; facilitates and provides support to other departments and team members as needed • Innovative – creates and delivers professional and fresh materials and approaches to our clients and team to further differentiate our team and firm.
