General information: Department: Corporate Compliance Overview: The Enterprise Security Architect will work as a member of the Information Security team. This position will focus on defining security requirements & controls to develop security strategy and enterprise security architecture for both on premise and Cloud implementations to ensure that security is foundational and built in from the beginning. The position will accomplish this through collaborating closely with the enterprise architecture group and other areas throughout the Enterprise. The Security Architect is a key consultant regarding security features of technologies in the corporate environment. What you would do in this job: Define security requirements and controls for on premise and cloud technologies. Collaborate on the architecture and maintain oversight of the design and implementation of IT systems to ensure appropriate and effective security controls are included. Continuously assess the life cycle of all security technologies. Assist in defining exception processes and making exception decisions. Evaluates and assess risk as part of the life-cycle analysis. Create and maintain enterprise security policies and standards applicable to all technologies in the portfolio and all users across the organization. Build strong cross-organizational relationships with staff across the IT organization and broader enterprise. Stay current with security technologies and make recommendations for use based on business value. Participates in setting strategic direction. Assist in the evaluation of overall risk for IT systems and the data they contain and process, accounting for the people, processes, and technologies that provide security controls. Maintain an expert knowledge in the field of Information Security and related issues, systems, processes, products, and services . Advise leadership on Information Security issues, systems, processes, products, and services. Assist in 3rd party due diligence from a security perspective. Use broad knowledge gained to address security controls at an enterprise-level with perspective clients and vendors. What we'd expect from you: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 6 years of experience in security & technology. Security related certifications such as the CISSP. Cloud related certifications a plus. Executive presence; highly effective communicator; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills. Solid problem solving and analytical skills; able to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution. Network security (e.g., firewall management, network architecture, network security tooling) including threat management and mitigation. Cloud Security specific to the types of security controls available and implemented within Cloud infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Azure) and SaaS solutions. Cybersecurity risk management (e.g. real time monitoring, incident response, advanced persistent threat mitigation) including data exfiltration techniques, detection, response tools and strategies. Threat modeling of complex systems. Data-protection software and hardware solutions including application, database, and file level encryption and tokenization solutions. Securing big data repositories & data analytics. Information incident management & technology solutions (e.g., Log Management, IDS/IPS, DLP, incident response procedures) to assist enterprise incident response teams.
