Plan For Every Part (PFEP):

Own the updates and improvements for the PFEP database

Monitor demand/usage

Prepare Model Year (MY) changes

Setup container/Kanban qtys. and replenishment cycles

Container, label, document updates

Monitor all part replenishment (supermarket, high pick, sequence, kit, etc)

Implement container updates based on usage

Engineering Change Coordination:

Manage Effectivity

Engineering change implementation

Follow ECN disposition

Approve packaging changes

Coordinate changes with packaging engineering and assembly manufacturing engineering as needed

Prepare containers, labels, documents, locations, etc

Implement part with ME/Process Tech

Warehouse/Kitting/Material Handling Optimization:

Setup dedicated part locations in the warehouse to optimize space and increase efficiency with picking

Identify/implement new transport methods and equipment for moving parts from place to place

Setup tugger routes based on time studies to reduce downtime on tuggers/forklifts and increase efficiency

Use time studies from kitting and material handling to balance work loads

Design & Maintain kitting process

Create standard work

Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods and standards. Provide solutions to problems that adversely affect operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost utilizing APQP & lean processes.

Identify areas of unnecessary cost. Research methods and procedures for cost reduction, kitting process development and material flow improvement based on a sound business case.

Review preliminary designs, making recommendations to reduce costs and improve manufacturing and quality on new or existing parts.

Develop detailed, complete, and accurate capital equipment studies and makes appropriate recommendations for capital expenditures.

Lead CI activities

Participate on kaizen/lean teams

Skills and Experience Required:

Strong analytical skills required

Excellent Excel and PowerPoint abilities

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Ability to effectively influence and work in cooperation with cross functional teams

Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills

Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software/applications

Experience working with manufacturing, AS400 and Bills of Materials preferred

Understanding of financial metrics

Strong Project Management skills.
