The IV&V Software Engineer

will perform verification and validation on the flight software for a complex spacecraft system. Support issue management, task coordination, status reporting internal peer reviews, external peer reviews, project milestones and regular meetings. The Software Engineer provides specialized knowledge of software requirements, design, and programming specifications to accomplish reuse analysis, requirements allocations, and timing/sizing analysis. Individual applies analytical expertise to assist in defining, analyzing, validating (testing) and verifying complex software systems, states of technology and current software development methodologies. Accomplishes analysis of traceability, design, implementation, interfaces, FQT plans, integration test plans, databases and components, test plans and data flows. Analyzes software test procedures, test results, test cases, simulations, operating procedures and feasibility assessment. Additional focus areas include security/safety assessments, and integration test designs.

Essential Job Requirements:

Master's degree in computer science/computer engineering or related discipline and 0 years experience

Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience

Strong experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GN&C) software

Must possess professional training or equivalent experience in one of the following disciplines: computer science; computer systems engineering; computer system development; software analyses; software architect planning and design; modeling and simulation; test and evaluation; math

Experience with real-time operating systems, C/C , Java, UML, Software Verification and Validation, Static Code Analysis, Requirements Management, Full Life Cycle Software development, Risk and Issue Management
