Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our DHS team in the National Capital Region (NCR). CACI is providing a variety of IT services to this customer including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.

The Senior Active Directory Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Resolves and appropriately completes assigned cases and change requests and acts as an escalation for support issues. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows file services architecture creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.

More About the Role:

Produce enterprise-level designs for Active Directory and Windows File Services for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.

Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.

Manage underlying infrastructure platforms (servers, clusters, OS) that enable the customer to maintain database instances (e.g. Microsoft Server 2012 and 2016, Hyper-V)

Develop backup and restore procedures that meet or exceed NIST 800-53 requirements

Develop and manage baseline configurations for all enterprise services in the environment, e.g. DNS, DHCP, Print, and identity management.

Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third party software utilities for hardware systems within operational guidelines, to include integration with services such as DHCP, Identity Management and PKI Services

Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.

Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.

Support vulnerability assessments by providing audit logs and other data extracts from system monitoring tools.

Harden and secure jump boxes to properly maintain the sanctity of system boundaries, in accordance with industry best practices and federal regulations.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

DHS EOD Eligible (Active EOD preferred)

Able to obtain a Secret clearance

Typically requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and 7 - 9 years of related experience, including at least 4 years specializing in Windows desktop, server and enterprise technologies.

Experience maintaining and updating: Domain plans and design documentation; Organization Unit (OU) plans; Enterprise Group Policies, and Trust relations with external AD structures.

Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, Windows File Services, and Group Policies.

Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPOs.

Expert knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016 Server.

Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, in a Windows 2012 / 2016 landscape.

Knowledge of Microsoft Identity Manager, Forefront Identity Management, Microsoft Exchange, Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) are preferable.

Must have deep and thorough understanding of monitoring best practices, preferably with Microsoft System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) understanding and experience.

Experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, HyperV) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification.

ITIL v3 Foundation certification

Knowledge of scripting languages a plus (e.g. VBScript, powershell)

Experience with O365 and Microsoft Azure / Amazon web services – IaaS/PaaS/SaaS/EaaS is a plus
