The Role

In this role you will be responsible for managing on-going key Software Procurement sourcing relationships and spend to deliver optimum value to the Group within an agreed strategic frameworks and Licensing agreements. You will manage IT Software category spend with a focus on project delivery. You will take the Procurement Software Licensing lead in projects; provide clear direction on Procurement policy and processes to the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all major business transformation program requiring third party vendor services are provided vendor relationship management support services from the initial launch through implementation into ongoing support. The specific services are provided in the Responsibilities section below. This is a pivotal role interfacing with Global stakeholders both internally and externally to generate a positive, value-adding environment. Previous strong knowledge of other Procurement areas Telecoms, Hardware and Consultancy Services is desirable.

Develop and execute key vendor relationship management strategies

Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships

Manage and develop the commercial relationship between Willis and the relevant suppliers at both a tactical and strategic level

Develop and manage a set of key performance indicators for those relationships including compliance with contractual terms, conditions and deliverables

Negotiate and agree contract services and scope changes with suppliers

Develop and agree mechanism to motivate and monitor vendor performance

Communicate and promote the use of strategic vendors across the Group and seek out opportunities to leverage their services

Manage external and internal stakeholders such as Business Units, Transformation, Procurement, Legal, I.T. and Executive Management

Monitor alternative external markets and vendors

Work within the parameters of Group Procurement

The Requirements

Degree level (Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience)

Purchasing and Vendor Management with specific experience in IT, Telecom, and Systems.

Successful track record in managing multiple vendor relationships for major business transformation programs ($40 M in aggregate)

Experienced in managing vendors utilizing on-site, near-shore and offshore resources.

Experienced in working with programme teams in preparing Statements of Work, service level targets, monitoring the fulfilment of all parties against contractual terms and conditions, and providing early alerts to avoid penalties.

Able to work with programme teams to identify and acquire the appropriate third party skills at the right time, as programs progress through various phases.

Experienced in providing Willis stakeholders recommendations on the third parties to utilize, and in moving companies from sourcing across multiple vendors, to sourcing via a few, high-quality partners.
