Position Purpose

The IT Security/Compliance Analyst 2 reports to the Manager of Security, Risk and Compliance and is expected to be fully aligned with the company's security goals as established by our policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work toward upholding and implementing strategies that meet these goals. This position typically works with a low to medium level of supervision and has an increased level of contact with external suppliers or customers.

Essential Functions

Coordinates security patch management, vulnerability scans, reporting and remediation follow-up with system owners

Performs Legal Holds using computer forensic tools including MS Exchange, Enterprise Vault and NearPoint to support investigations and litigations

Research and stay abreast of all local, national laws and regulations as it related to record retention and information security requirements

Review and maintain the Master Directory of Record Retention Schedules to keep them current with business and customer requirements

Identify security vulnerabilities and threat vectors, and identify/monitor/manage solution implementation

Assist with audit deficiency remediation

Coordinate and manage reviews of site specific IT Disaster Recovery Plans, create new plans where needed

Responsible for data loss prevention response, process and oversight

Performs daily cadence of monitoring, reacting and triaging malicious events

Provide IT investigative and forensic support for legal, HR, BCOC and internal audit

Responsible for spam control process and review

Ability to be a member of an on call team

Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing IT solutions to improve overall enterprise security

Monitor security process compliance of internal and third party users

Performs Licensing and related compliance support including routine license analysis, new volume purchases to verify inventory, license use & compliance

Advise and define license recommendations that support business goals

Develop and maintain ongoing process to remove unlicensed or unauthorized software

Provides project updates to IT Security Manager and during monthly project status meetings

Act as a resource to other IT departments and Woodward members seeking security-related advice and/or information

Participate in external/internal penetration testing, including the remediation and follow-up action plans

Lead and assist in IT security incident management activities

Responsible for documenting compliance policies and procedures and ensuring staff members are kept current on any changes or updates to the program. Update policies and procedures for Global IT compliance, Coordinate and manage efforts associated with IT policies and standards reviews

Provide consultation and advice to legal counsel and business leaders

Performs hardware and software security risk assessments

Create and maintain security-related policies and procedures

Effectively develop and communicate security related software upgrades and strategies to IT teams, members in a timely and clear fashion

Provides side by side coaching for less experienced Security analysts

Other Functions

Facilitate implementation of business-friendly solutions that insure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Woodward information

Participate in security related projects as applicable

Participate in investigation of problematic activity

Participate in the Records Retention Program

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Specific knowledge related to HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, DFARS, ITAR and GDPR compliance

Specific technical knowledge in three or more of the following areas: McAfee's Enterprise Security Suite, Windows Operating Systems, Linux, AIX, Internet technologies, Networking technologies, Load Balancers, Encryption technologies

Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required

Proven analytical and problem solving skills

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work and communicate with individuals, teams and external resource providers

Specific knowledge of Project Management

Good written and oral communication skills

Highly self motivated and directed

Detailed oriented

Ability to work on cross-functional project teams

Solid understanding of IDS/IPS

Solid understanding application, perimeter, and zone based firewall solutions. Experience supporting products such as CheckPoint, Cisco ASA, PaloAlto, or F5 is preferred

Education or Formal Training

BS/BA Degree Required

One or more of the following certifications: GIAC Information Security fundamentals (GSEC); CISA, CompTia Security ; OSCP, CISSP, if no certification completion of approved certification required within one (1) year of accepting the job offer.

Experience Required

BS/BA or Master's degree in the field of computer science with minimum of 2 years experience OR 3-5 years of experience in information technology with a minimum 2 years supporting information security
