PRIMARY DUTIES: Manage the activities and personnel associated with the design, development, implementation, and support of short-term and long-term Information Technology solutions in manufacturing. Identify opportunities where IT can help meet corporate goals and objectives through IT technology and systems in manufacturing. Provide leadership for development of IT strategy, standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures related to manufacturing systems. Develop departmental plans in the areas of business, production and/or organizational priorities.  Accountable for the performance and results in area of responsibility. REQUIREMENTS: Four year college degree. Major of Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.  15 years of Information Technology related experience, including at least three years in a management role. Experience with strategic planning for IT systems across the enterprise.  Proven leadership skills including development and promotion of IT standards. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong technical skills in systems architecture, database, and software development Desire to lead projects as well as work with the business Ability to lead a group to provide development and system support Ability to perform as a business analyst in working with the business in development of IT Solutions. Functional understanding of process control systems. Experience integrating manufacturing systems with process control systems and an ERP system. Understanding of various technologies (Windows, .Net, Java, Oracle database, Microsoft SQL Server database, HTTP, web services). Understanding of Software Configuration Management. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective presentation skills. Knowledge of IT governance and operations, disciplined problem-solving methods and positive employee relations practices. Ability to apply business and management expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives within or across areas or departments. Manage resources to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.
