Job Summary

The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as the liaison

between the Corporate IT teams and Corp IT Customers. BRMs are the

single point of contact for their customer regarding all Corp IT needs

and processes.

Essential Functions

Relationship Management

* Builds and maintains strong relationships with Business SMEs, IT

Operational team, key Mid to Sr. Management business and IT

personnel and plays a central role in managing tactical and

operational communications between IT and its business partners

* Escalation point to navigate IT for their assigned customers

* Help gather demand for incoming efforts/project requests

* Help obtain business requirements to come up with demand scope and

cost as needed

* Communicate Corp IT changes/announcements/updates to customers

IT Customer Demand Shaping

(Portfolio Management, Demand Prioritization, Road Mapping, Initial

Scoping, Initiation)

* Creates appropriate demand management documentation and keeps

customer informed throughout the demand cycle

* Assist with portfolio maintenance and roadmaps

* Maintains portfolio items specific to assigned customers

Oversight & Direction

(Programs & Products)

* Communicate noticeable trends in reporting, financials,

relationship management, etc. to BRM team

* Develop working knowledge of business products, applications,

architecture, infrastructure, and technologies

* Works with mid to Sr. Mgmt. and IT partners to identify and

mitigate risks and incorporate compliance needs

* Helps operational teams and mid to Sr. Mgmt. IT and business

partners to understand their role in managing risk and ensuring

compliance

IT Financials

* Collaborates with App Dev teams customers to ensure Customer IT

Project Portfolios are updated, including budget vs. spend detail

* Escalates IT financial questions to the appropriate teams

Issue Escalation & Resolution

* Acts as primary contact to assigned IT Customers for escalation of

reported issues

* Assesses impact and urgency of escalated reported issue

* Follows up with teams to ensure prompt restoration of services

* Follows up with teams to ensure root causes are addressed and

rectified

Solution Research & Evaluation

* Works with internal and external parties to evaluate and recommend

technology solutions to solve business needs at a tactical and/or

operational levels

Job Complexities

* Has to have excellent customer service skills

* should have some business analyst and finance skills

Independence

* Works under general supervision.

* Actively contributes to the results of a team and works towards

achieving team goals and objectives.

* Uses expertise of more senior level employees and leverages

additional resources to confirm solution and that the customer

always has a positive Corp IT support experience.

Supervision

* No responsibility for the supervision of others

Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor s degree in business administration, engineering,

computer science, information systems, or other relevant

discipline.

Experience

* 3 years of experience in Information Technology business

relationship management, account management, or project

management, or other equivalent experience involving Service

Support and/or Service Delivery.

Knowledge, Skills & Technology

* Must be familiar with the ITIL Service Management standards and

implementation processes. (ITIL certifications are desirable).

* Requires a conceptual understanding of multiple Information

Technology disciplines such as IT infrastructure, hardware support
