The Equifax US professional services team is looking for an IT Business Analyst interested in analysis, design and implementation for our decisioning platforms. The IT Business Analyst will contribute to the innovation, development and enhancement of technology products, applications, platforms, and data stores.

This person will serve as the product owner for an Agile/Scrum team, building IT solutions for our strategic customers. Achieving these tasks will require an interest in technology and application development in addition to leveraging strong skill-sets in effective communication, qualitative and quantitative analysis and a detail-oriented focus. Through engagement of strong communication skills, the IT Business Analyst will be asked to serve as a liaison between client representatives and technical resources on the team, to design and deliver solutions to meet customer requirements. 

Responsibilities

Use analytic skills to interpret complex information and adapt

Participate in evaluating solution design, and collaborate and provide feedback to the product development team

Participate in projects with other IT professionals, deliver quality applications and components within scope, on time, and within budget

Document all new or modified programs; produce reports

Develop functional requirements in the form of Agile User Stories that satisfy client requirements

Collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to review and refine user stories

Actively participate in problem resolution; setting priorities when appropriate and escalating issues when needed

Assist with production deployment planning

Perform system validation

Assist clients with ongoing support for applications

Assist with and conduct discovery sessions with customers

Develop and elaborate on user stories

Story Point Estimation

Functional quality assurance

Required Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field by May 2018

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft  Office suite

Direct or classroom experience with Java and object-oriented programming

Course work in Computer Science – Advanced Java, C, Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Database Development, Web Development, etc

Direct or classroom experience with any one or more of the following: Spring Hibernate, Struts, JSF, ORMs like Hibernate and iBATIS, Spring, JMS, JNDI, XML, JSON, XSLT, RMI, JSP,  JDBC, JUnit, AJAX

Direct or classroom experience with database architecture, table structure, and schemas on Oracle platform

Direct or classroom experience on NoSQL databases
