IP Paralegal



EA’s legal department is looking for a talented legal specialist to work with our IP team to provide support to our product, marketing, and other business teams on intellectual property protection and enforcement matters.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Monitor online infringement of EA’s copyrights and trademarks on social media sites, app stores, e-commerce stores and other online sites.


  • Investigate and evaluate infringement complaints to determine appropriate action.


  • Draft cease and desist letters, take down notices and follow-up communications relating to online infringement.


  • Maintain databases used to track, report and analyze data in support of online enforcement activities.


  • Communicate with internal business partners to solve IP issues.


  • Conduct legal research or other research projects as needed.


  • Ad-hoc projects and general support to IP team.




Our next Legal Specialist will have:





  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience. Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program preferable, but not required.


  • 3-8 years prior experience at in-house legal department or law firm working on intellectual property matters.


  • Experience with technology and games (not required, but a plus).




Other Qualifications:





  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.


  • Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving ability.


  • Strong research skills including legal research, internet searches and intellectual property database searches.


  • Sound judgment and excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, effectively handle shifting priorities, and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced environment.


  • Desire to learn and grow in the role.


  • Interest and experience with playing game (not required, but a plus).
