Role Summary:

As a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, this team member will have asuperior software development background that will facilitate design anddevelopment of technical solutions for new and existing web based applications.Interacts with Business Users, Scrum Masters and peer engineers to analyzesystem requirements, design, develop, and test end to end web basedapplications. Technical solutions and supporting deliverables will beconstructed to enable Cigna IT clients to accomplish their business objectives.This position is on a team that is responsible for providing technical WebBased applications and Business Intelligence solutions.


Develop end to end solutions from requirements to data model design to data capture to front end presentation of the solution.The full stack engineer should be able to develop and unit test every component within the solution.

Develop solutions using Informatica/Python, APEX features (PL/SQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery, AJAX, REST API, etc.), and Cognos/Tableau/Looker.

Participate as an Quality Engineer to assist other Full Stack Engineers with testing of their solutions.This includesdefining, executing, and documenting system test plans, test cases, data mining, test execution and results, defect resolution, and test summaries.

Experience with Test Driven Development and CICD practices.

Use Test Driven Development strategies to conduct unit testing and participate with system testing as required.

Identifies and implements test automation and Continuous Delivery opportunities.

Fill out required documentation such as installation instructions and follow Cigna standards and procedures.

Anticipate customers’ analytic needs and proactively conceptualize and champion high-value solutions.

Actively support products by providing prompt responses to customer problems and inquiries. Make the customer’s experience first priority in all.

Keep the Production Support team management informed of any issues or concerns.

Participate/Assist with deployments to all environments including Production (which could occur after hours).

New development and support task responsibilities as assigned.


1.Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent jobexperience preferred

2.4-7 years experience participating in the development of WebBased application systems. Oracle DB experience is required.

3.5 years software development experience

4.3 years of ETL development using Informatica in anOracle Unix environment

5.1 years of Web Based development experience using OracleApplication Express

6.Looker development experience (other related experiencewith Cognos or Tableau)

~~~ aptitude to learn ETL Development in Informatica, or webbased development in Oracle Application Express, or create front endcontent with BI Tools such as Looker, Cognos, or Tableau can substituteexperience in those areas if the candidate is exceptional strong in one of thethree areas already.

8.Experience with PL/SQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS, JQuery,AJAX, REST API, etc.

9.Experience with TOAD, GIT, Jenkins, uDeploy

10.Knowledgeof data warehousing and Unix

11.Experienceworking with customers from the initial development of business requirements,through all the Agile steps and providing on-going maintenance and support.

12.Demonstratesability to obtain expert-level proficiency in multiple technologies.

AdditionalQualifications Preferred:
