IM Software Engineer Manager - Team Lead - Regulatory Compliance & Finance Reporting Applications','17009008','!*!Location:  Bloomfield, CT or New

company, is looking for an exceptional leader to drive the migration of Cigna's

Legal, Regulatory Compliance, and Finance Reporting 

(LCF) function within our Information Management organization. In this role,

you will provide technical expertise and lead the migration of specific

applications and functions from Mainframe based platforms to end state Big Data

platforms such as Teradata and Hadoop. You will also help to shape and

propagate an integrated architectural strategy to support next-generation legal

and financial reporting needs across the enterprise.The ideal candidate will work in a team

that demands technical excellence, whose members are expected to hold each

other accountable for the overall success of the end product. Focus for this

team is on the delivery of innovative solutions to complex problems, but also

with a mind to drive simplicity in refining and supporting of the solution by

others. This is not a group that deals with technology from a distance –

everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves and work on implementation.

 

Responsibilities with focus on:

-  Embracing the mindset of being a change agent, provide technical

expertise on systems solution architecture, application development and automated

testing.-  Provide leadership and direction to a global team of software engineers

and systems analysts located in and outside of the United States.-  Lead and participate in the design, definition, planning, development

and implementation of Projects using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and KANBAN.-  Function as a hands-on member of the LCF team, rolling up their sleeves

to get the job done.-  Maintain a deep involvement with application development and

implementation processes, including acting as the LCF representative with the

Big Data and other Guilds and areas within in Information Management-  Work closely with our Cigna Information Protection teammates and Legal/Regulatory

Compliance Stakeholders

 

Candidate Experience should include:

-  Experience in distilling complex ideas into an architectural and

implementation plan, and then executing on that plan.-  Provide technical expertise through a hands-on approach to team

projects, developing solutions that are automated and repeatable with full CICD

/TDD-  Familiarity with Agile

principles and tools, from Epics through User Stories, as well as tracking

velocity and throughput metrics in tool such as Rally.-  Provide clear

communication on our strategy and progress against teams’ organizational

objectives-  Ensure all code(scripts,

DDL's) are checked into Source Code Repository (Git)-  Software

development and an ability to innovate outside of traditional

architecture/software patterns when needed.-  Collaborate in a

high-performing team environment, and an ability to influence and be

influenced by others.-  Responsible for

production best practices, technical and operating standards (e.g. Run

time improvements, Data Quality improvements) and workflow process-  Accountable for

facilitation and communication of issues defined as high/critical business

impact across IT and business, to resolution.-  Forward looking in

anticipating and identifying future technology impacts and preparing the

Information Management organization’s foundation to meet future demand.-  Keeps abreast of

emerging industry trends.','!*!Not all are required:-  Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline: statistics,

applied mathematics, computer science, data mining, machine learning, or other

empirical sciences preferred-  Documented experience in a business intelligence or analytic

development role on a variety of medium to large scale projects (3 years

minimum)-  Knowledge of Big Data technologies and platforms such as Apache

Hadoop, Looker, Kafka, Flume, Avro schemas, Git/Github.-  Ability to rapidly prototype and storyboard/wireframe

development as part of application design-  Ability to communicate at various levels within large

organizations-  Documented experience working on advanced Big Data solutions

is a plus.-  Some expertise in designing business intelligence systems,
