Essential Functions:

Multi-skilled position responsible for performing preventive and general maintenance and technical repair work on instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Responsible for installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely.

Has the ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment. Runs conduit, pulls wire, changes motors, and maintains lighting systems and basic motor controls.

Must have experience in field communications platforms.

Maintains and troubleshoots field control systems and complex equipment.

Maintain, modify and troubleshoot Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.

Maintains advanced monitoring devices (gas, detectors, vibration and temperature monitors).

Has knowledge of field compressor processes, electrical layout, safety systems and area classifications.

Read P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings; interprets filed compressor electrical diagrams

Updates electrical drawings.

Installs, troubleshoots and maintains end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, substation and branch feeders, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, etc.

May work independently or with various groups to deal with issues that may arise.

Uses hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment.

Performs clean up associated with tasks.

Essential Requirements:

Experience, Educational & Special Training Required

High School Diploma/GED

At up to 2 years of experience of practical, electrical experience.

Maintain and adhere to required Company Trainings, Company Policies, and Procedures

Other duties as assigned

Ability to produce understandable and accurate reports and records

Is able to examine/analyze equipment for defects

Uses hand tools, power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment

Performs preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment

Is familiar with AC voltage (120-480) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC

Preferred Skills:

Has operating knowledge in the operations and maintenance of natural gas systems.

Must have record of very positive work performance, very good safety record, ability to perform work independently, history of being dependable and reliable, good organizational skills, good customer relations

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred

Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently.

Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:

Must have good driving record

Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment

Working extended hours as required in emergencies, on projects or outages

This position will require overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and on call schedule

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, frequent heavy lifting over 50 pounds.

Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, frequent lifting of heavy equipment

Climb ladders up to 25 feet

Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment

Walk on uneven terrain

Work in hot/cold temperature extremes for long periods of time
