\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJob Summary:\u0026nbsp; \u003c/strong\u003e\u0026nbsp;The HR Assistant performs administrative support in the human resources department.\u0026nbsp; Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, job requisitions, change-of-status, terminations, etc. \u0026nbsp;Manages contingent labor.\u0026nbsp; Assists with site recruiting efforts.\u0026nbsp; Maintains employee files and employee data in Human Resources Information System (HRIS). \u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEssential Duties and Responsibilities \u003c/strong\u003einclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cli\u003eFacilitates entire new hire process, including opening job requisitions, creating offer letters, requesting background checks and drug screens, etc.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eCoordinates the termination process including paperwork, notifications and processing in the HRIS database.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eCoordinates high volume contingent labor ordering and processing including payroll hours submission.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMaintains accuracy of employee information in the HRIS database.\u0026nbsp; Enters from source documents into the HRIS including employee status change forms.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eSets-up and maintains employee files both paper and electronically.\u0026nbsp; Follows retention policy on purging of files.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eScreens applicants and manages online applicant tracking system. Assists with recruiting efforts including outreach, job fairs, creative recruiting, etc.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProvides general information to customers on benefits, polices, HR processes, etc.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eOccasionally assist with employee engagement events\u003c/li\u003e

\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEducation\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e:\u003c/strong\u003e\u0026nbsp; High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. HR certification or 2 years of college preferred.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cli\u003e2 years of experience in a Human Resources department especially supporting recruiting and contingent labor management.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMust be customer service focused. \u0026nbsp;\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMust possess excellent time management skills and be very detail oriented.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMust be able to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMust have the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with grace.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAbility to interpret and apply policies and procedures to tasks\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAbility to operate a variety of standard business machines such as copiers and scanners.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eExperience with Microsoft software applications and HRIS required.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eExpected to work independently on routine tasks.\u0026nbsp; Receives limited supervision on new assignments.\u003c/li\u003e
