The Operations HVAC (COR) employee, as a first responder to unintended site emergency responses, is responsible for participating in the safe and complete restoration of system stability. A HVAC Operations (COR) team member must be familiar with and knowledgeable of all systems for which the HVAC Operations department is responsible as defined in the Basic Job Responsibilities section.

 It is expected that the employee will participate in training and development efforts as appropriate to insure department objectives are met and will comply with updated training requirements as may be assigned and continue to increase skills and knowledge related to this job. A COR team member will diligently comply with and follow safety guidelines to insure his safety as well as other Micron employees.


Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

*Maintain the following certifications as a primary responder: SCBA, SKA, APR, ERT, HAZMERT, Confined Space Rescue and CPR.

*Identify and promptly report hazards *Follow safety procedures and area work rules including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety *Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer's and company guidelines *Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner *Complies with department operating guidelines and procedures while performing tasks *Troubleshoot system deviation problems utilizing available reference materials and department operating guidelines *Assume ownership of problems and utilize available resources for resolution. Know when to escalate to other resources for advice or support. *Follow-up on trouble calls to satisfactory conclusion to ensure customer satisfaction *Proactively assist department in the completion of work requests and emergency response requests *Performs air balance tasks to maintain required specifications in site buildings. *Analyze system/equipment problems using data, metrics and processes to identify the root causes *Adjusts equipment parameters and/or starts or stops equipment to maximize equipment efficiency as identified in department operating guidelines *Effectively prioritizes multiple work requests to insure minimal impacts to daily operations *Effectively communicate and document operational changes or deviations *May lead or train others on the team in areas of  personal expertise


Successful candidates for this position will have

*Minimum of five years experience in HVAC related fields. *Journeyman License required *Basic computer skills *Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

*Ability to walk up to 10 miles per shift *Ability to perform work on a ladder *Ability to work in a confined space *Ability to lift 50 lbs. *Ability to work a rotating shift schedule (Days or Nights) *Ability to work 12 hour shift
