Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Plant Services Specialist at the Penbryn, NJ plant.The Penbryn plant produces fiber glass building insulation products and will be adding 150 people in production, maintenance, shipping and technical positions.
The plant is ideally situated in South Jersey, close to Philadelphia, and offers full-time employment with competitive pay and benefits.

The Plant Services Specialist will wear a variety of hats to include support services to the facility including general human resources and communication, hourly payroll processing, accounts payable/accounts receivable and purchasing activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager and Human Resources Manager.Responsibilities:

Act as primary external point of contact for facility
Payroll reconciliation and verification
Ensure that employee time data is accurate in ADP system prior to weekly deadline to include policy adherence for overtime, flex scheduling, vacation, holiday processing, hours distribution, leave processing, termination, etc.
Coordinate facility document retention program in accordance with company policy
Hiring and on-boarding
Administer new hire protocol-job offers, drug testing, background checks, etc...
Conduct new hire orientation
Coordinate employee benefit enrollment
Vacation tracking
Leave (FMLA) processing
Terminations
Participate in monthly pure safety training courses
Lead on-boarding and orientation for new hires
Support safety programs and initiatives as needed
Purchase basic office/production/laboratory/safety supplies as needed
Encourage all employees to report hazards and unsafe conditions to their supervisor immediately
CIP bonus processing- validate eligibility and earnings for bonus payout
Maintain confidential personnel files and employee information
Act as a primary point of contact for employee questions and requests as a delegate of the HR leader
SAP - Track, investigate and resolve accounting issues ( account coding and verification)
ERS -- reconciliation of Corporate P-Card and T&E credit cards
Distribute communications
Organize company functions
Coordinate quarterly volunteerism and charitable giving initiatives within the plant
Facilitate employee engagement activities and be actively involved in improving employee morale
Support sense of pride and ownership in the workforce and an overall positive facility culture

Minimum Requirements:

Associates Degree.
3 or more years of experience in duties related to human resources, purchasing, and finance.
3 or more years of experience in payroll administration.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 25lbs.
Ability to travel as needed up to 5%

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.
Experience with hourly and temporary employee recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and orientation
Experience in manufacturing methods and processes.
Experience with hourly payroll regulations and payroll administration in HRIS (ADP preferred).
Advanced Excel skills to include formulas and pivot tables.
Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Organizational and administrative skills.
Experience with SAP.
