HR Technology Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Leads the work and deliverables of multiple, complex projects or programs in support of the HR Technology strategy and systems. The complexity of projects may vary and can impact multiple processes, systems, functions and products.

Fundamental Components:

Develops and implements strategic business plans to achieve business goals within the systems and related functionality.

Proactively leads a complex project by setting strategic direction for the system and often related downstream systems.

Act as a consultant to understand compensation related and other HR initiatives, and assess how our existing technology tools can best deliver on these initiatives. Work with the customer to identify and document the business requirements, conduct requirement reviews, and obtain approval and sign off.

Partner with the technology vendors to determine necessary system changes.

Configure the system to fulfill the business requirements, and creatively develop workarounds if necessary.

For system upgrades, conduct impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and downstream systems.

Manage and oversee user acceptance testing, and work with the vendor to ensure defect resolution.

Document, track, and report on day-to-day system issues and work with the vendor to ensure timely resolution.

Participate in other HR sponsored projects as needed to provide Business Analyst support from an HR Technology perspective.

Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on broad view of the enterprise and related policies.

Collaborates and partners with others in Human Resources and other business areas across/within segments or other business areas to ensure all workflow processes and interdependencies are identified and addressed.

Consults with constituents (these may be internal and/or external) to scope/define project.

Influences change in order to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services.

Obtains financial support with collaboration of the business owners for most complex projects or supports this work as it relates to program management.

Collaboratively works as multiple functions and/or segments to obtain agreement from all impacted parties

Responsible for development and implementation of new ideas that supports work/team.

Leads all project and/or program management in support of system upgrades and releases, including monitoring and tracking of progress and status update communicating to stakeholders.

Responsible for resource utilization within and across work teams.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Previous working knowledge and experience as a business analyst working with HR systems such as Compensation, Time and Attendance, Core HR/HCM and other HR systems. General knowledge of Payroll, HR Policies and UltiPro Systems a plus. Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources. Experience includes development and management of multiple budgets and schedules related to various projects and or program. Proven project management skills including project management documentation and use of PM tools.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
