HR Data Analyst

The HR Data Analyst will provide data and analysis in support of all HR functions. This includes supporting the design, development and maintenance of HR analytical tools and dashboards. This position will support the overall HR analytics strategy and initiatives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain HR analytical tools, reporting and dashboards. This includes maintenance of data to support HR analytics needs and ensuring accuracy and consistency of key data sets, reports and metrics.

Complete monthly, quarterly and adhoc HR reporting and data analysis. Respond to HR data requests from HR and other functions. This includes developing queries and/or gathering data from various sources; in addition, may interpret the data to provide value added analysis.

Partner with IT and HRIS on data warehouse updates, testing, communication and change management

Conduct data analysis and discovery to identify trends and correlations to uncover insights. Recommends information that should be analyzed based on key indicators, works to determine root cause and/or identify specific areas of concern.

Audit HR data, validate calculations and troubleshoot irregularities; support data governance process

Development & maintenance of data dictionary (business and technical definitions, calculations and HR references)

Integration and maintenance of non-Oracle data sources in data warehouse (examples: profit sharing data, WICHS data, external data)

Other duties as assigned

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Experience with statistical modeling

HRIS systems experience

HR reporting and data analytics experience

Experience with descriptive statistics and software/programming language (OBIEE, Microsoft Suite, Tableau, SAS, SPSS or R) or SQL experience and an understanding of database design principles

Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or other similar software

Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic

Education / Training Required

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Human Resources or equivalent experience

2 years of related experience
