Normal Work Schedule Note: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and, while generally as shown below, may be changed (increased or decreased) by management as required.

Hours of Work

: Generally 4:30 AM to completion

or as scheduled by management with (2) 15-minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. Overtime may be scheduled as needed and directed by management.

Days of Works

: Normally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Nights and weekends if needed by operations and approved by management.

The minimum number of years and/or months of prior and related experience preferred to be considered for this position is:

Minimum of 1-year hatchery experience required.


The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is:

This position will be responsible for performing quality control checks and maintaining the quality control program at the hatchery facility.


Describe below the four to six major responsibilities of this position which must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodation in order to achieve the essential purpose of this position.

#1. Perform process audits. These audits include, but are not limited to, Inovo vaccination, box counts, vaccine preparation, and poultry welfare.

#2. This position will perform routine temperature checks on incubation equipment as directed by management.

#3. This position will conduct routine moisture loss surveys, residue breakout analysis, embryo/infertile egg temperatures and candling breakout as directed by management.

#4. This position will conduct routine hatch timing analysis

#5. This position will monitor Hatchery BMPs, controller/probe calibrations, chemical use, facility bio-security and facility sanitation both visually and by plating, daily, weekly, and monthly.

quality control checks as directed by management


Describe the decision-making authority of this position, the nature and extent of supervision available and the point at which higher approval is required.

This position is responsible for organizing and scheduling their time in order to accomplish checks as directed by management. Deficiencies noted are to be reported to management for corrective action.


The environment factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:

Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humdities up to 100%. Exposed to chemicals, drugs and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications. Use personal protective equipment as required. Ability to lift 20 lb. boxes and trays.. Must be able to bend and reach 5” from floor to 6’ in height.

Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
