Graphic Designer','17006224','!*!The Xerox Experience Design Group (EDG) is looking for a creative individual to join our internal design studio as a Graphic Design professional.  This position requires a designer that employs a user-centered design methodology, has both hard copy and digital creative drawing skills, and the ability to work cross functionally with all disciplines to deliver high quality graphic deliverables.  This position involves a broad range of responsibilities that support a group of designers to execute product design development, design strategies, and worldwide brand product deliverables. 


Work with Industrial Design and User Interface design principals and design peers to create graphic design strategies that align and support the Xerox brand and user task needs  

Work with planning and business partners, hardware and software design engineers, end-users, and design and development team members to elicit and understand and product requirements and user task needs

Conduct competitive benchmarking activities to determine and provide recommendations regarding best-of-breed designs.

Participate in customer research and perform task analyses / workflow analyses of existing and emerging user work practices.

Identify creative solutions both in physical and digital form that adhere to brand standards and that meet or exceed client needs

Develop feature and application icons based on an understanding of the key concepts that need to be communicated and that follow established corporate branding guidelines.

Work with User Experience Designers to quickly develop screen concepts for embedded, web and mobile applications.

Utilize design expertise, and print and digital production knowledge to manage the delivery of graphic materials on time, on budget, and to the standards of the department and business partners

Develop and maintain the graphics standards and monitor the adherence of the standards throughout the organization

Assist business partners with the maintenance of the brand and look and feel for the company ','!*!Qualifications

BFA or BA in Graphic Design or Instructional Media Design

0-3 years design and production experience

A strong portfolio that demonstrates an excellent command of graphic design principles and practices, formats, typography, printing, and layout

Expertise on both Mac and PC platforms. Software includes Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). (Sharepoint and HTML would be a plus)

Familiarity/working knowledge of with HTML and CSS style sheets and mobile OS (Android, Apple) style guidelines desired.

Experience working with creative and design partners print in creation of design concepts, creative layout, and production artwork

The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while remaining on schedule
