We are currently looking for a Government Affairs Finance Coordinator, PAC and Compliance Admin to join our established and growing company in Chicago, IL.
Job Summary: Responsible for assisting in meeting the Department’s budget goals and its future budget projection. Also responsible for managing every aspect of LKQ’s PAC.
Essential Job Duties:
Assist the Director in forecasting upcoming year’s budget
Responsible for all financial statements and reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
Review corporate financial reports to make adjustments/accruals as needed
Provide Director with a report of projected expenses for the month
Provide tax reporting information to the tax director (annually)
Monitor and manage departments expenditures
Responsible for processing check requests and expense logging (daily)
Identify percentages of expenses and travel that are for the purposes of lobbying and/or tax deductible
Manage and promote LKQ’s PAC (may require travel)
Responsible for PAC and corporate contributions filings and compliance (state and federal)
Track corporate and PAC political contributions (state and federal) to ensure conformity within legal limits
Responsible for state and federal PAC filing reports (monthly, quarterly, and/or annually)
Reconciliation of PAC bank accounts
Identify eligible employees or individuals for participation
Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material
Maintain state compliance for contract and in-house lobbyists
Responsible for lobbying allocation percentage (for all employees, contract lobbyists and consultants)
Track and file lobbying disclosure reports
Monitors major newspapers, publications, websites of the industry and gathers content, including social media for internal and external audiences. Provides staff daily clips/news coverage.
Responsible for updating LKQ Government Affairs intranet site with important updates and legislative related issues
Responsible for maintaining association memberships and future conferences for staff participation
Responsible for Association dues lobbying percentage allocations
Other administrative tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education,
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands): To

essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess excellent computer skills. The

Education & Experience: College degree preferred with 3 years of
experience in the field.
Machines, Equipment and Software:
Computer, multi-user telephone system, copier, fax machine, advanced internet
skills and very knowledgeable with the use of Microsoft Office programs.
Demands/Work Environment: Working hours will be
adjusted at the discretion of the Director to accommodate workload. Must have
the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and must also
work under pressure comfortably.
