The Global Sourcing Specialist II (GSSII), Indirect is responsible for sourcing, planning and contracting goods and services upon request for a variety of teams within Shared Services, with an emphasis on Travel Management. The GSSII is responsible for, supplier negotiations, quality control around supplier performance, drafting and executing supplier agreements, and working as part of a cross-functional project team. The GSSII will manage a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) cross functional team, and will interact closely with outside suppliers and internal departments in managing said supplier relationships. In addition, this position will participate in the preparation of RFQs and RFPs as part of executing a larger overall strategy. The GSSII works within the guidelines and rules of Finance, Legal and Procurement to maintain fiscal, legal and ethical standards, and participates in the training of new buyers and other members of the company, as requested. Collaborates with department heads and functional leaders to assure the most effective and efficient vendors, prices and practices are met.
What you will do:
Work with department managers to gather specifications and requirements for goods and services, identify the best suppliers and negotiate the procurement of goods, as well as service contracts within the SRM structure, as well as within the overall Procurement standards and policies of Keurig Green Mountain.
Proactively collaborate with internal departments and assist in identifying needs.
Train Keurig employees on policies and practices for procurement, as well as the legal and financial requirements and policies in making a purchase.
Manage relationships with suppliers.
Solicit quotes, negotiate pricing and schedules, specify and confirm materials for any goods required and monitor deadlines and shipping requirements.
Prepare the commercial portion of supplier contracts and information for purchase order generation.
Actively maintain a healthy supplier portfolio, seek out new supplier relationships, monitor existing relationships, proactively participate in problem resolution and schedule site visits with key suppliers as deemed appropriate.
Reconcile invoices and receipts in accordance to needs of Finance department, as needed to support Procurement Services.
Lead vendor performance reviews / vendor performance management strategy execution (periodically, includes strategic level vendor feedback). Is seen as the key strategic relationship manager by one or more suppliers and leads strategic discussions (including long term capacity planning) that span a 1 year horizon. Lead discussions on cross-functional performance metrics with supplier.
Lead simple to moderate, and assists with complex, RFP's ','!*!What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study and 3 years’ experience as a Sourcing Specialist in a commercial setting, and/or the equivalent education and experience.
Prior experience dealing with both goods and service providers, preferably in a marketing environment.
Experience working with ERP systems, SAP preferred
Demonstrated success in managing vendor relations and negotiation skills.
Ability to work with multiple departments and to determine and interpret business needs and to translate those needs into an RFQ/RFP
Proven ability to interact with management at some level and to participate in setting strategic direction for the procurement team.
Strong understanding of key cost drivers and their influence on the pricing of the various buying categories
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines, lead a team of professionals and solve problems, both quantitative and qualitative.
