Join Global People Support (GPS) and help lead part of an innovative and evolving Employee Relations (ER) team, who helps JPMorgan Chase & Co. managers across the globe build their people management skills, support our employees and deliver a great employee experience and fulfill the JPMorgan Chase & Co. business principles all while being an employee advocate.  

Reporting to the GPS ER Investigations Team Manager, this GPS ER Investigations Case Manager will be a part of a team of experienced ER Professionals; conduct sensitive and complex ER investigations and provide ER guidance and counsel to managers and employees at all levels regarding the full range of people practices.  

The candidate will also partner with HR colleagues and Business Managers to implement appropriate strategies, plans and interventions to develop and/or maintain a high performing work environment.

Key Responsibilities 

Investigate complaints or allegations of misconduct, unfair management practices, unprofessional behavior; current and former employee disputes, and other code of conduct violations.

Document investigative path, recommendations and resolution, according to firm protocol.

Identify root causes and trends; make appropriate recommendations; Execute on a robust risk and controls agenda.

Partner effectively and provide advice and consultation with other stakeholders or other control groups such as Global Security and Investigations (GS&I), Corporate Employee Relations, and HR/Business Legal as needed.

Participate in projects as required; proactively identify and update key stakeholders.','!*!Qualifications

5 years of HR/ER experience which includes advising on and investigating employee relations matters; experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Knowledge of full range of ER practices; performance management & corrective action support, code of conduct investigations, workplace issues and conflicts including management practices concerns, and disputes and appeals. 

Strong knowledge of US labor laws and respective regulations.

Experience interpreting and providing guidance on corporate policies/procedures and business practices. Applies a consistent and appropriate level of review when making decisions and providing guidance.  Escalates appropriately.

Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills; combined with the ability to think innovatively.  Examines root cause and provides recommendations to management to mitigate repeated issues.

Ability to make sound judgments under significant pressure and influence across all levels and roles in the Firm including colleagues in HR and with Sr. level leaders.

Possesses a strong risk and control mindset; follows published protocols around conducting investigations and tracking activities related to carrying out key responsibilities.  Hold self and others accountable to operate within established procedures to proactively prevent or address risk and control issues.   

Results-oriented; takes ownership of and drives clients and stakeholders towards an appropriate resolution of issues.

Strong organizational/time management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Easily identifies and assesses a difficult situation and makes the tough call while preserving and strengthening relationships; ability to negotiate effectively.

Adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change.

Understands financial and HR related industry trends and applies them in decision making, where appropriate.
