Global Account Manager

Position Description:

- The Global Account Manager

develops, maintains, and/or expands relationships with Anixter’s Global Original Equipment Manufacturers

OEM) End User or Contract manufacturers.

- The Global Account Manager

represents Anixter’s range of Wire & Cable and electronics to its assigned list of OEM customers .

- The position is based out of the United States and is open to applicants from all 50 states.

Job Responsibilities:

Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.

Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including local outside sales reps, engineering and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.

Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts

Proactively leads an account planning process that develops performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.

Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

Ensures that all future opportunities

Works effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

Your sales skills need be unrivaled, but it also helps if you have:

- Bachelor's degree in a related major is preferred

- 10 years of outside sales experience in our industry is preferred; including experience managing and selling into large global accounts.

-Ability to strategically manage large complex accounts and grow the territory

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools, including PowerPoint and OneNote-A confident and determined approach

-Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection

-Self-motivation and drive

-A competitive streak
