Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by actively engaging staff and participating in the Safety Journey programs
Provide mentoring and development of less experienced geologists and ensure quality of work.
Design and execute essential project work with minimal supervision.
Duties may include drill planning, core and RC chip logging, ore control, QA/QC, budget estimation and management, 3D modeling, reports, and presentations.
Able to describe basic rock types and alteration and possess geologic mapping and observation skills
Good inter-personal and communication skills, motivated, and self-reliant.

Training & Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Geology (MS preferred) with demonstrated knowledge of geological principles.
5 years of industry experience in a mining or exploration environment.
Proficient use of 3D modeling software, such as Vulcan and leapfrog is required
Proficient in standard computer programs (Word, Excel, etc).
Previous experience working in an underground mining environment is preferred.
Will work in mines, project sites, and/or Greenfield exploration environments where conditions may be primitive and/or harsh at times. (Primitive/Harsh = surface or underground environments, hot to extreme cold, desert or tropical rain forst to tundra conditions, remote field camps, high mountain terrain, steep rough terrain, long distance and/or time to advanced medical care.)
Permanent relocation or reassignment to any of the aforementioned sites may be required.
Extended period from their home base may be required.
Must be able to hold/operate a phone and radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation.
Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles, 4x4 vehicles and occasionally operate an all-terrain vehicle.
