The Generics Program Manager will be responsible for understanding and maximizing the generics market penetration with Independent and Small Medium Chain (ISMC) customers. The Generics Program Manager will serve as functional expert in the ISMC space, managing designated Buying Groups and strategic accounts, analytics, and compliance management. The Generics Program Manager will work to develop processes to track, analyze, and report on customer profitability and identify new expansion opportunities, with an understanding of the pricing models.
Generics Program Manager will support Field Sales to maximize designated Buying Group and/or Customer generic purchase penetration in the ISMC segment.
Understand and communicate (written and/or verbal) subject matter expertise on generic sell side products, programs & pricing for the ISMC channel to maintain, increase and generic sales.
Work in concert with the Pricing team to develop customer pricing models to support field sales teams to expand McKesson footprint.
Develop Generic sales program that offers differentiated value while maintaining profit thresholds
Collaborate with Field Sales in the development and execution of value added Generic sales strategies for targeted customers and buying groups.
Actively support Field Sales Managers, Sales Executives and VP's in achieving yearly sales and profit plan goals for the targeted accounts
Analyze opportunities for McKesson to expand generic products, services, and pricing strategies while examining market channels and exploring innovative business opportunities
Manage the compilation, analysis, and reporting of data to forecast trends
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and innovative initiatives to increase sales and margin
Report on key initiatives and progress to executive leadership teams
5 years of product management experience including 2 years managerial experience
3 years of program management, including P&L analytics
3 years of sales or client service experience
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and exercise good judgment in a fast paced decision-making environment is required
Strong analytical capabilities. Excel spreadsheet skills and spreadsheet analysis techniques required
Strong communication skills especially in the area of verbal/written communication with customers
Ability to think logically and analytically, problem-solve, build consensus, and lead initiatives
Marketing/Strategy experience a plus
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Lean Six Sigma understanding / accredited preferred
Good management, communication and analytical skills and thorough knowledge of company's products
MBA preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
