Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this leadership position is to ensure the effective, efficient and progressive performance of a smaller, growth-based Service Center. Growth orientation drives all aspects of the business, encouraging long-term sustainability. This leadership position exemplifies a culture of outstanding Customer Service while adhering to company safety policies and procedures, as well as governmental regulations. This individual will be expected to oversee satellite locations and supervise subordinate employees. This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in operations or business management and at least three years of management experience in marketing, sales, and operations.

Essential Functions:

Assumes overall responsibility for Service Center P&L/budget, safety, sales and personnel.

Drives a perpetual growth environment and corresponding initiatives throughout the SC, being directly involved with the execution down to the Customer level.

Engages in field operations, customer interaction and employee development. This is not an office based position, but rather an all encompassing leadership position that is field based.

Establishes and executes the Service Center’s business plan in a way that best utilizes the resources of the Service Center, producing progressive results through growth and retention.

Ensures that the Service Center remains compliant with the company safety policies and procedures, and follows applicable laws and regulations.

Selects, trains, coaches and develops Service Center Employees. Creates and upholds a work environment that encourages Employee morale.

Instills and upholds a Customer Service Culture within the Service Center that fosters retention, relationships and loyalty, positioning the Service Center for increased growth opportunities.

Develops and implements systems that reduce expenses and maximize the utilization all assets within the Service Center.


Bachelor’s degree in operations or business management

3 years management experience in marketing, sales, and operations

Customer service experience

Solid understanding of distribution principles

Ability to lead and manage a geographically dispersed group of employees

Solid understanding of expense management concepts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on team building and developing a positive rapport with company employees at all levels as well as customers.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Access.

Proven history of ethical business decision and integrity.
