POSITION SUMMARY

The One Call/Pipeline Ops. Foreman will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pipeline maintenance and operations as well as providing technical support in the in the field.  They will assist the production team anytime support is needed. They will manage a team of operators and be involved with identification of underground utilities, witness digging and submitting daily reports. Responsible for data gathering, equipment calibration, equipment trouble shooting and assisting one call operators with trouble locates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Demonstrate safe and ethical behavior at all times.

Has the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected.

Promote a safe work environment and actively support and participate in the company’s EHS program.

Coordinate oversight of digging and boring in and around lines (Line Crossing Inspections).

Become familiar with, understand and apply all of Devon’s Policies.

Work with production staff to troubleshoot areas of concern.

Monitor pressures, volumes and overall system balances on a regular basis.

Operate lines in compliance with all regulatory permits or DOT regulations.

Keep pipeline map data current with GIS.

Maintain pigging schedule.

Facilitate corrective tasks based on work order  (including overseeing vendors performing work)

Provide any equipment changes to Master Data Maintainer.

Perform routine activities based on maintenance plans.

Provide any equipment changes to Master Data Maintainer.

Perform regulatory activities based on maintenance plans.

Have an understanding of economic evaluations and indicators and their effect on the area of responsibility.

Maintain compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations with strong support of the OKC staff.

Calibrate one call line identification wquipment and maintain documentation certification.

Maintain one call data for reports to governmental agencies.

Maintain compliance, in conjuntion with and through close coordination with EHS Department, for all regulatory, environmental, and safety issues.

Ensure proper grids are registered with 811 state agencies.

Perform Compressor handoff from construction to production, ensure all pipeline functions are completed as designed.

Ensure all tasks are performed to protect pipelines.

Certify one call requests are documented and locates are completed and communicated to state agencies.

Ensure that reports are submitted and pipeline operations adhere to regulatory requirements.

Confirm pipeline operator completes corrective repairs and work orders are closed.

Ensure technical services group completes inspections as scheduled.

Confirm pipeline operator completes inspections as scheduled.

Review & approve EHS & Regulatory documents before submission.

PREREQUISITES

High School diploma or equivalent

Requires a minimum of 7 years of related industry experience in pipeline and one call operations.

A commitment to ethical behavior.

Strong leadership, supervisory and coaching skills.

A commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

An ability to work within a team environment.

Strong communication skills with a willingness and ability to verbally communicate up and down the organizational chart.

Oil and gas industry experience preferred.

Strong computer skills and proficient with spreadsheet software.

Meet Devon Energy requirement to operate company vehicles and equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Live, or be willing to relocate to, within 50 miles of Artesia NM.

Position requires operation of Company vehicles. Incumbent must maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies.
