Job Title: Flow Cytometry Application Scientist/Instructor

Reports to: Global Service Marketing & Training Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Beckman Coulter develops, manufactures and markets analytical products that are used in control and monitoring of pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing environments and quality control of pharmaceutical and other materials in air, gas, oil and water. Our systems are found in pharmaceutical, aerospace and electronic manufacturing, off shore drilling, and in laboratories where quality control of materials is vital. Our life science customers include pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, universities, space launch, and research institutions. Beckman Coulter has an installed base of more than 275,000 systems operating in facilities around the world.

Responsibilities: * We are looking for a scientist, who will serve as the primary instructor and application support leader for the Flow Cytometry product lines. This individual should possess a strong blend of technical, analytical, and training skills. The instructor will lead and engage in the following activities: * Design and develop application-focused customer training courses and curriculums * Teach customer training courses and monitor student performance and collect feedback * Manage a BioSafety Level II customer training lab and ensure all training safety, quality and regulatory requirements are in compliance with standards and agencies such as: ISO, GMP and FDA * Work with marketing and sales teams to implement and commercialize the courses to the global customer base * Participate in the creation of customer training marketing materials * Drive improvement of customer technical application knowledge * Utilize LMS tools to administer and track training and certification * Participate in technical product investigations and provide application support to customers * BECKRSR

Qualification

Basic Qualifications * BS Biological degree * Master or PhD with experience in Flow Cytometry and teaching * 4 years experience Technical/ Teaching/ Lab experience * 1 year Training experience * Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * This role will be based in Indianapolis, IN * Up to 25% travel * Teaching/Technical/ Training

Preferred: * Experience in using Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometry products * Experience in managing laboratory and cleanroom operation * Experience in GLP and GMP * PhD with experience in Flow Cytometry and teaching
