Financial Services Supervisor

Located in Little Rock, AR, the Financial Services Supervisor is responsible for achieving business goals and objectives that are established by the Regional Financial Services Manager.  As a member of the financial services function s/he will play a critical and key role in leveraging financial services expertise to protect WESCO assets while maximizing its cash flow.   In this role s/he will manage an account receivables portfolio made up of the WESCO’s largest Global Customers across multiple operating groups. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: •       Manage, evaluate, recruit and develop staff of 3-5 direct reports. Challenge employees; build an effective team; develop organizational capacity; and provide staff with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.         •       Set goals for the work group, manage execution and measure results. •       Participates in periodic reviews with Region Financial Services Manager of assigned A/R portfolio, assigned goals and objectives, and take necessary action to improve performance    •       Analyze records of present and past operations trends with regards to accounts receivable dispute trends. •       Develop operational plans to achieve results and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. •       Develop financial/accounting concepts for financial planning and control.•       Assist in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.•       May act as consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications.•       Approves and controls extension of credit for customers (e.g., branch level accounts for Global customer) within guidelines and Limits of Authority; makes recommendations for credit limits over limits of authority ; reviews orders on credit suspension so as to not delay shipments; makes independent decisions to release orders on credit hold, or escalate higher-risk customers to supervisor. Performs other duties as required
