Finance Manager - Shopper Marketing

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing all financial budgets, invoicing, reporting & analysis across multiple brands and business units for the Shopper Marketing teams. Financial management requires budgeting; transfer journal entries; management of invoices including invoice processing, realization and reconciliation; budget reconciliation on a monthly and quarterly basis; budget carry-forwards; return on investment and other analysis tools. Core responsibilities include: financial reporting and analysis; develop and maintain financial reporting for shopper marketing team; provide analysis and recommendations for ROI maximization. In addition, this position will have to work across all brand and business unit finance teams to ensure proper process and protocols of budget alignment are being addressed. The position requires high level of organization, flexibility and collaboration from working with shopper marketing team, brand and business unit teams, finance teams, accounts payable teams, other CPG companies, third party vendors and sales teams. The shopper marketing team is fast paced and the finance manager will need to be flexible in multiple changes and updates that occur in the budget on a monthly basis. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent an academic field directly related and essential to the finance skill set required. Requires understanding of different business models (one is fixed budget, one is based on accruals that fluctuates frequently during the course of the fiscal year). Experience: 5 plus years of experience. System & Computer Skills: Requires advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, specifically excel (pivot tables, creating templates, macros), and Power Point. Access knowledge is not required, but would be beneficial. Proficient systems knowledge to include but not limited to COGNOS and SAP Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position must possess the ability to communication with upper level management, across all brand teams and business units and sales teams. Special Skills: Must work well in a team environment, be collaborative among brand and finance teams and agency partners. Travel: 2-3 domestic trips per year.
