Financial Analyst II

What you will do

The Financial Analyst II is a results driven finance role reporting to the Business Unit Operations Manager. This role works on a team of other finance professionals that provides information to the Building Solutions leadership while interacting on a regular basis with the greater Johnson Controls Finance Group. As a member of this team you will monitor the functional spend across multiple cost centers and handle the forecasting and budgeting for these cost centers. This person will also interact with the internal audit community to handle any new or open questions that they may have about our processes. This team is frequently called upon by leaders to produce reports and information on an ad-hoc basis for critical decision making.

How you will do it

As a Financial Analyst you will quickly learn how the processes work and interact inside the Central Operations teams. You will also learn where the data exists and how to manage the various sources. You will have a thorough understanding that the forecast and budgeting needs a precise level of detail when it comes to variances to actuals. You are able to handle rapidly changing environments and have a curiosity for exposure to new technologies. You will be the consummate professional business partner when dealing with your internal customers.

 

What we look for

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field. 

3 Years minimum experience

Experience working in a team environment and communicating effectively across multiple stakeholders

Preferred

Experience working in an end-to-end transactional environment where multiple functions work together

Solid understanding of how actuals, forecasts, and budgets work together

Understanding of how auditors view business processes 

Maturity of technical skills relating to handling data from many disparate sources

Thoroughly advanced skillset in Excel
