The Company’s products are sold in more than 115 countries in a wide range of distribution.SUMMARY:Working Omni-channel, the Field Visual Merchandiser (FVM) is responsible for amplifying the exposure that our brands receive in both our retail and wholesale accounts. The FVM will regularly visit targeted accounts in their territory. The objective of this role is to increase sell-through at the focus accounts. The FVM trains shop employees about our brands, products, campaigns, and merchandising standards. The FVM is responsible for implementing visual merchandising, maintaining brand standards, and effectively communicating results and issues to Sales and Marketing Leaders. This person will develop relationships with shop employees and use tactics to increase the passion for and understanding of our products. The FVM will also create and execute local-market activities to attract consumers and drive traffic to their focus accounts. RESPONSIBILITIES:In-store activitiesOversee a territory of 20-30 from Oahu doors from various channels, with efforts distributed across our brandsResponsible for the merchandising standards of accounts ensuring global alignment; drives results, communicates issues to leadershipEducate retail employees about merchandising standards, products, selling skills, and other initiatives set by the Director of Visual Merchandising  Give feedback to and coach store manager and retail staff on work done on VM implementation and how they can improve. Drive sale-through in immediate term and contribute to build brand in the long termCreate unique training opportunities for shop employees such as clinics and product demos Support key store events, ensuring store staff is properly trained and prepared for activationsSupport trade marketing by reporting issues to Trade Marketing Manager, help by solving in-field problemsAssist with seasonal floor sets, window fronts, and other merchandising needs as requested by Sales RepsMonitor store performance and identify improvement opportunities (e.g. underperforming categories).Monitor and helps coach the performance of any third party merchandisers in their territory Marketplace­ activities Visit showroom (1 time per season)Support and amplify Sales Rep activations; assist in creating and driving new experiences for consumersCreate opportunities for consumers to connect with our brands, such as demos, clinics, and other events Support the Sales and Marketing teams as requested during Global and Regional events, including store openings Attend regional trade shows and sales meetings as requested by Training ManagerMonitor competitor performance in local area and communicate observations to leaders and storesAdministrative duties Submit visit recaps to provide shop intelligence, competitive analysis, and product feedback to leadership Create quality event recaps that drive learning and best practices among cross-functional teamsManage business and personal calendars, travel, and expenses Assist with creating visual merchandising guidelines as requested by Sales Reps in their territory Manage own travel arrangements and travel expensesREQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:At least 3 years of visual merchandising and store operations experienceStrong merchandising skills and a strong understanding of fashion/trends in market(s)Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related, Apparel Merchandising, and/or Apparel Design fieldIn lieu of a degree, at least three years of experience in any of the above would be consideredProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  Knowledge of Adobe creative suite is a plusDemonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, public speaking is part of the roleMust be able to remain self-motivated and work effectively in an unsupervised settingAbility to demonstrate expertise in field marketing through a portfolio of work or strong referencesMust own reliable transportation and have a valid Driver License and auto insuranceRequired to travel throughout local market at least 70% of the timeRequires flexible hours based on the needs of the businessMust be willing and able to move ladders, fixtures, etc.; must be willing and able to climb and stand atop a ladderMust be able to lift 30-50 poundsQuiksilver's policy is to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
