Management of all Facility Maintenance Operations and Systems in highly secured environment. Responsible

for development and management of budget. Ensures that all utility systems are fully operational and

inspected in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules. Prepares cost estimates for building

renovations or space alterations, and inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.


Develop and manage annual budget, including expense and capital budget and reconciliation.

Manage all maintenance of building systems and operations for multiple facilities including but not limited to: Electrical, Uninterruptible Power System (UPS), generators, cooling tower, and all heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, environmental controls, dock lift, elevator and grounds maintenance.

Management of ESI CRES staff. Responsible for managing multiple schedules, preventative maintenance, coaching/mentoring, while delivering quality services.

Strategic planning and construction design management; Management of outside contractors for all repairs and maintenance, request proposals for major repairs and upgrades, plan project budgets in order to obtain full funding.

Management of employee safety throughout the facility in coordination with Corporate Safety; liaison with Safety Committee and implementation of ideas generated by the Safety Committee.

Management of all internal communications with employees and all affected departments.

Maintain an on call status to aid in emergency phone support, and after hours response as necessary.


Two year degree in technically related field required.

Seven plus years experience in building maintenance and supervision.

CFM preferred but not required.

Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects

Knowledge of building trades management principles, methods, and techniques.

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.

Ability to coordinate and/or supervise facility repair contractors.

Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

Knowledge of construction and service contract documents and specifications.

Knowledge of all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints.

Ability to analyze and evaluate complex issues and develop creative, responsive solutions.

Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Employee development and performance management skills.

Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.

Knowledge and understanding of the design and implementation of building preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Ability to employ and interpret customer feedback instruments.

Ability to coordinate and/or supervise facility repair contractors and successfully integrate contract staff with in-house workforce.
