Successful candidate will be well-rounded in industrial electrical skills, repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks as well as leading and training team members. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of challenging electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment. Provide electrical support for all facility systems and equipment including but not limited to conveyors, A-Frames, Printers, Strappers, Compressors and other automated technologies. Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including electrical troubleshooting. Self starter in new system and equipment learning and training. Ability to lead and train other facilities assistants. Communicate with and maintain relationships with vendors. Qualifications Minimum Requirements 2 years facilities engineering experience Critical Skills Electrical: Ability to measure voltage and current accurately and safely and to sue this data to troubleshoot circuits Trained to work with 460 2210 120 VAC and 24 volt DC circuits Knowledge and understanding of motor starting circuits and power distribution circuits Ability to read electrical schematics and evaluate operations based on these schematics. Ability to read ladder logic, download and upload PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions Ability to work with control circuits using such devices as: photoeyes, solenoid valves, limit switches, indicating lights and safety switches Mechanical: Ability to identify worn or damaged parts and to replace them Develop an overall maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device Lubricate, oil and clean devices as specified in their maintenance manuals Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal working hours or when on call. Ability to communicate effectively between facilities teams, vendors, operations, IT and customer business partners Must be open to flexible night hours, Sunday through Thursday, with a typical start time of 11PM. Must also be open to overtime, on call, holidays and adjusting shift as needed based on business requirements. Additional Knowledge & Skills Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members under normal situations as well as during times of high pressure due to system failures. Excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems including power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLC's, UPS systems, compressors, strappers air handling units and CRAC units Conveyor experience a plus Experience with LOTO and OSHA regulations; ability to train others in regulatory requirements Windows XP/Windows 7 and work order experience is preferred; CMMS experience a plus Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on facility systems Mechanical Align bearings, shafts and drives Adjust tension of belts and chains Work with pneumatic circuits involving cylinders and solenoid valves Computer Analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary Troubleshoot network (Ethernet systems) Troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices Ability to setup and analyze RS232/RS422 communications between computers or computer and peripheral devices Operations Manage and maintain spare parts inventory Education 4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience Physical Requirements Ability to perform lifting (weight varies based on product), walking, standing, climbing, work overhead, and office environment.
