Facilities Maintenance Technician

Our Facilities Maintenance Techs work hard to make sure our facilities and buildings are running smoothly. Providing a safe, comfortable, functional and clean working environment, they take on duties ranging from plumbing to electrical as well as general carpentry and day-to-day building maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

Repairing and replacing standard commercial facilities, faucets, sweat pipes and shutoff valves

Troubleshooting electrical power problems

Working closely with HVAC equipment

Repairing, removing and installing ceramic, linoleum, VCT tiles and drywall

Working with building life safety systems, including Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), emergency generators and fire panels

Completing small-scale to large furniture and move requests, with the installing and de-installing of Modular furniture

WORKING HOURS: Tuesday through Saturday, 7am-3:45pm

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or GED

3 years of commercial building maintenance experience

Valid driver's license and auto insurance along with compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies

Experience with moving equipment (pallet jack, dollies, forklift, etc.)

General knowledge of OSHA and safety standards

Maintenance experience to include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC

PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) required

Verbal and written communication skills

Customer service skills

Knowledge of corporate business operations

Working knowledge of building life safety systems, including UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supplies), emergency generators and fire panels

Knowledge of maintenance and operation of full service kitchen, fitness center, and health service facilities

Modular furniture installation including ergonomic adjustments to furniture assembly and/or disassembly of commercial modular furniture systems

Business moves, including relocation of computers, telephones, furniture, and employee's property

Operate power tools and all basic/standard hand tools

Adapt to flexible work location and schedule
