Failure offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well

interacts daily with maintenance contractors, manufacturing, and quality folks,

to ensure site’s goals and objectives are effectively supported.

As a Facilities

Engineer, you will be responsible for directing and managing the company

assigned activities of the Facilities Department including Capital Projects,

day-day needs of the manufacturing areas, building maintenance, internal and

external contractors, facilities engineering, and Environmental, Health, and

Safety (EHS) activities. Responsible for office-planning activities of assigned

company facilities, owned, or leased by the company. Makes recommendations to

department management related to cost savings programs as well as short and

long-term planning of facilities, real estate properties, and capacity

activities. Constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests, documents and

maintains equipment, components, devices and systems. Generates project scopes

for small Capital projects, including Mechanical/Electrical drawing redlines.

Oversee projects that are facilitated by contingent workers.

Delivers and/or managesprojects assigned – from design to implementation - and works with otherstakeholders to achieve desired resultswhile adhering to policies

Communicates primarily andfrequently with internal contacts

May act as a mentor tocolleagues or may direct the work of lower level professionals.

Works independently withgeneral supervision on larger, moderately complex projects / assignments.

Interacts with Regulatory Agenciesas needed

Sets objectives for own jobarea to meet the objectives of projects and assignments.

Contributes to the completionof project milestones.

Will be involved in crossfunctional assignments dealing with regulatory issues.

Adjusts or recommendsenhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improveeffectiveness of job area.

Share information, status,needs and issues to inform, gain input, and support decision-making.

May provide guidance andassistance to entry level professionals and / or employee in SupportCareer Stream.

Provides direct supervision tocontractors (HVAC, BMS, Compressed Air, Capital Projects, etc.)

Responsibilities may

include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Plans, designs and oversees thereconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery,buildings, structures, and other facilities.

Gathers and reviews dataconcerning facility or equipment specifications, company or governmentrestrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

Coordinates witharchitecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparinglayout and detail drawings.

Prepares bid sheets andcontracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

Reviews and estimates designcosts including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation,and other related costs.

Inspects or directs theinspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformanceto established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

• B.S in an Engineering or similar related field

• 2 years of experience

Nice to Have

• Thorough understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the manufacture of medical devices or applicable FDA regulated field.

• In depth experience in HVAC, Building Management/Monitoring systems, and managing and controlling clean room environmental conditions and environments.

• Ability to use PC and sophisticated software (CAD system).

• Good written and oral communication skills in English.

• Ergonomics and Industrial Hygiene expertise
