About this Role: Salesforce is looking for an experienced Facilities Building Engineering Manager with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sustainable operations expertise. This role would plan, implement and manage all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications and energy management for the San Francisco HQ campus or portfolio of buildings. The ideal candidate is excited to seek out new opportunities to create operational efficiencies, harness cutting edge technologies, and engage property management and occupants. This position will report to the Director of Workplace Services, working closely with the Real Estate and Workplace Services Sustainability as well as cross-functional business partners. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day facilities engineering operations to effectively control all leased and owned sites to achieve operational efficiency. Develops and provides for ongoing improvement of preventive maintenance and engineering procedures, preventive maintenance programs, budget operating costs estimates and comparisons. Oversee all tenant building systems including fire\/life safety,mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with latest HVAC technology trends. Manages all facets of inspections and surveys, including energy audits, LEED surveys, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and accessibility compliance Develops specifications and assists in solicitation and administration of maintenance\/repair service contracts. Analyzes data and identifies replacement, repair and maintenance challenges. Share opportunities with the team to research, test and measure and improve facilities programs Influence design guidelines, including minimum specifications, basis of design for various building systems. Responsible for work order system data integrity including asset management, warranties, and dark\/decommissioned locations. Benchmark and assess facilities building energy, water, waste and IAQ performance Identify areas of risk and opportunity related to emissions, energy, water, waste, human health, etc. Monitor office energy and water usage to identify trends to help drive efficiency and sync with Green Building Program Manager on strategy Identify out-of-the-box solutions to ongoing operational and environmental challenges Demonstrate environmental and financial advantages of green building features to key business partners, especially property owners and building management groups Execute robust cost-benefit analyses and craft thoughtful pilot programs. reporting out cost savings and benefits Develop creative occupancy engagement programs that align with employee culture Responsible for proactively communicating with all business partners to ensure facilities repair processes are being followed to provide a clean and safe working environment. Required Experience\/Skills: Bachelor's degree (engineering, environmental science, or related major preferred) 3-4 years of professional experience, including building management, facilities and construction management, with a background in green buildings Experience executing projects in a leased environment in collaboration with property management groups Excellent project management and communication skills Driven, entrepreneurial, self-starting Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Positive team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude Comfortable collaborating with diverse team members, including architects, building engineers, and facility managers Experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Google Office applications Preferred Experience\/Skills: Knowledge of current trends in building health assessment (Living Building Challenge, LEED v4, HPDs, EPDs, etc.) Experience with analyzing utility data Experience conducting\/utilizing Life Cycle Assessments Experience using Salesforce products
